In this piece at the Mesa Spark Festival, my student Shahab Sagheb and I created an interactive installation where two people have their faces flipped in real-time. This was tremendous fun for the viewers, but also a good programming exercise for me, and illuminated a new rule of thumb that might apply to media artists: Cutting edge today will be available as a phone app within a few months.
