Pimp My Heart. In this project, my collaborator Takehito Etani and I create a music playback system for pimped out cars that responds to the drivers real-time heart rate, synchronizing the low-end bass rhythms of the music to match the frequency of the heart rate.
This piece consisted of a modified heart sensor and custom software for beat-matching music to the heart rate.
This piece appeared in Stephen Wilson's book "Art+Science Now" in 2010.
Stephen Wilson was a brilliant and really nice guy and we will miss him.
